Mussel

Mussels are the most popular variety of shellfish. They are cultivated mainly in Northern Greece and are cooked in many ways and accompanied with many foods: steamed, with melted cheese, grilled, with pasta, risotto, fried, gratin, etc. Mytilos mussels are carefully selected and go through all the necessary quality control procedures to ensure their quality and are safe to consume. After successfully going through all stages (washing, sanitation, packaging, microbiological analysis), they get their Mytilos tag and are taken to market.

Oysters

Fine de Claire oysters are grown in France and imported by road to Greece. They are a special treat of the sea as they are placed in artificial, shallow "sea beds" for at least a month before they are packed to get their sweet, fruity flavor. Consumed mainly raw, with lemon, they are perfectly accompanied with wine or champagne. They are sold by size numbers, which indicate the number of pieces per kilo (No.2: 10 pcs / kg, No3 12 pcs / kg).

Clams

Our clams are grown in Northern Italy and imported by road to Greece. They are maintained in special seawater systems at our premises until they are repackaged and brought to market. They have a sweet taste, ideal for one of the tastier pastas such as spaghetti alle vongole. They can be steamed so as to open, and be enjoyed with some oil, wine, garlic and herbs.

Like all our shellfish, they are carefully selected and go through all the necessary quality control procedures to ensure their quality and are safe to eat. Once they have successfully gone through these, they get the Mytilos tag and are driven to market.
