Building on 40 Years of Craft

With over 40 years of expertise in seafood processing, we have mastered the art of handling delicate raw materials with care, precision, and consistency. This heritage forms the backbone of our expansion into high-quality ready-to-eat meals. The same knowledge, technology, and dedication that established us as trusted seafood experts have driven us in the last years to craft meals that are both innovative and authentic, bringing the essence of our experience from the sea to every plate. At present, our production facilities span to 3,000 m 2 , supporting a daily output of 71,000 meal portions and 300kg of premium crab meat.

Quality Control & Certifications

At Mytilos we have a deep respect for food, not just as a product, but as a responsibility. Our food culture is built on the principles of transparency, and continuous improvement. From sourcing to production, we prioritize not only what goes into our products, but how they are made.

We have made significant investments in food safety, operational integrity, and quality assurance. These are not simply regulatory requirements for us; they are the foundation of trust with our customers and partners.

Our integrated Quality Management System is designed to ensure full compliance with the most demanding international food safety standards. We have achieved and maintain the following certifications which are based on the principles of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points):

  • ISO 22000:2018
  • BRC Global Standard for Food Safety issue 9
  • IFS version 8

At Mytilos, we believe that consistently producing safe and high-quality food, starts with the right people and the right mindset. That’s why we invest continuously in training and in best practices that support a strong food safety culture, throughout the company.
We view quality not as a one-time achievement, but as an ongoing commitment to improvement. Whether developing new recipes or optimizing our production processes, our goal remains the same: to deliver meals that meet the highest standards and exceed consumer expectations

R&D

At Mytilos, our R&D team works at the intersection of culinary tradition, food science, and innovation; with a clear focus on product safety, flavor excellence, and continuous improvement.

Our Approach
Guided by a set of core principles, every product is:

Safe
We prioritize the safety of our products, through quality control protocols and compliance with international food safety standards. Every stage of development — from ingredient sourcing to packaging — is governed by our strict quality management systems.

Authentic and Natural
Inspired by traditional Mediterranean recipes, we use high-quality ingredients and natural techniques — no artificial additives.

Visually and Tastefully Appealing
Food should delight all the senses. That’s why we craft every dish to meet restaurant-level presentation standards, enhancing both visual appeal and the overall dining experience. We’re redefining expectations for ready-to-eat meals.

Clean-label driven
Transparency is at the heart of our approach. Our clean-label recipes feature simple, recognizable ingredients that reflect a homemade quality — far from the typical mass-produced meal.

Inspired by Gastronomy
We bring chef-driven concepts to retail and food service, bridging the gap be- tween convenience and exceptional quality.

Constantly Optimized
Our work does not end once a product reaches the market. We actively monitor performance, gather feedback, and invest in improvements, to ensure our products remain relevant, competitive, and aligned with evolving consumer expecta- tions.

Innovative
At Mytilos, innovation means more than just new products. We’re dedicated to creating meals that connect with today’s consumers, while honoring the rich gastronomic heritage of the Mediterranean

Sustainability

Environmental Responsibility

We view sustainability not as a regulatory obligation but as a strategic investment in the future; one that strengthens our performance, while reducing our impact on the planet.

Our Key Focus Areas

Energy Transition & Low-Carbon Operations
Currently, we produce 30% of our energy needs through solar power, with a target to reach 60% from renewable sources. Our operations are designed to support a shift to low-emissions production models.

Circular Economy & Waste Reduction
In 2024, 87% of total waste was recycled. We recycle all cardboard packaging, from raw materials and film waste, while animal by-products are redirected for use in the production of animal feed.

Climate Resilience
While our industry is not highly exposed to climate risk, we are proactively developing a climate adaptation plan, to assess environmental risks, strengthen infra- structure resilience, and support green technology integration.

Green Technologies & Smart Infrastructure
We are modernizing our facilities with energy-efficient technologies such as heat recovery systems from cooling units, smart monitoring of energy and water consumption, automation to reduce resource loss and improve operational efficiency.

Sustainability Certifications & Responsible Sourcing
Our commitment to sustainable sourcing includes using seafood certified by the ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council), applying HPP (High Pressure Processing) to maintain product safety and quality with lower environmental impact, and operating production and packaging lines in ISO 8 certified clean room environments
